16 Kidnap Victims Rescued by the Nigerian Army in Kaduna State

16 Kidnap Victims: The Nigerian Army, stationed in the 1 Division Area of Responsibility in Kaduna State, has successfully rescued 16 kidnap victims from the grips of their captors in the Kajuru Local Government area. The rescue mission took place in the Tantatu Community of Kajuru Local Government Area on March 17, 2024, at approximately 10:30 pm local time.

The Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, confirmed the successful operation through a statement. He revealed that the troops swiftly responded to reports of insurgents attacking the community and abducting several villagers as hostages, acting on credible intelligence.

Upon reaching the scene, the Army troops engaged the insurgents in a fierce firefight, displaying unwavering determination. The soldiers pursued the assailants deep into the bushes, refusing to relent in their pursuit. Their relentless efforts paid off as they managed to rescue all 16 kidnapped victims.

Major General Nwachukwu commended the troops for their bravery and affirmed their commitment to ongoing search and rescue operations. The soldiers are diligently combing the bushes, aiming to liberate any remaining victims and put an end to the nefarious activities of the insurgents.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, expressed his admiration for the successful rescue operation.
