Fatal Mass Shooting Erupts Just Miles from Biden’s State Dinner: One Dead, Five Injured
A single fatality and five individuals wounded, among them two children, mark the aftermath of a devastating mass shooting that unfolded less than five miles away from President Biden’s state dinner at the White House.
The tragic incident transpired shortly after 6 p.m. within the Carver Langston neighborhood of Washington, as detailed by Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith.
This heart-wrenching occurrence unfolded merely 8 miles from the presidential residence, where President Biden was extending hospitality to visiting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
According to preliminary investigations, the assailants disembarked from a vehicle before unleashing a hail of bullets into a gathering of bystanders. Numerous individuals suffered gunshot wounds in the indiscriminate attack.
Regrettably, one of the victims, an adult male, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Emergency responders swiftly transported two men, a woman, and a 9-year-old to nearby medical facilities via ambulance for urgent medical attention.
Subsequently, a 12-year-old victim arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound, further implicating them in the tragic shooting, as elucidated by Chief Smith.
