Abuja Police Arrest Five Members of a Notorious Kidnapping Gang

In a significant breakthrough, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the FCT Police Command has successfully apprehended three men and two women involved in a high-profile kidnapping gang operating in the nation’s capital, Abuja.

According to a press release issued by SP Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, the arrest was made at a hotel located in Bassa Village. The alleged leader of the gang, identified as Buhari Muhammed, aged 20, was among those apprehended.

The gang has been linked to several high-profile abductions, including the recent kidnapping of Joshua Eze, the husband of Blessing Eze. During the incident, Blessing Eze suffered a gunshot wound as she bravely attempted to protect her husband. Fortunately, both victims have since received medical attention and are in stable condition.

During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered a cache of weapons and evidence, including an AK47 rifle, ten mobile phones, a sum of cash, and other valuable items that were used or obtained during the gang’s criminal activities.

The FCT Police Command has lauded this successful operation as a major victory in the fight against kidnapping and criminality in the region. The arrested individuals will face charges related to their involvement in the kidnapping gang, and the police will continue their investigation to ensure that all those responsible for such heinous crimes are brought to justice.
