Bobrisky Admitted Guilty on Friday to Charges of Naira Abuse: A picture combination of Bobrisky being charged and a picture of him in court

Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, famously known as Bobrisky admitted guilty on Friday to charges of naira abuse leveled against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Transitioning to the courtroom scene, Bobrisky openly acknowledged the allegations before Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

According to reports from journalists present, the EFCC had initially lodged a six-count charge against the controversial figure on Thursday. However, during Friday’s proceedings, the commission’s counsel, Suleiman Suleiman, requested the court to dismiss counts five and six, which pertained to money laundering. Consequently, Justice Abimbola Awogboro granted the request, eliminating counts five and six from the charges.

Subsequently, Bobrisky admitted guilty on Friday to charges of naira abuse after being faced with counts one to four, to which he promptly pleaded guilty. In a clear admission of responsibility, he affirmed his guilt when the charges were read aloud in the courtroom, emphasizing his comprehension of the allegations brought against him.

As previously detailed by this platform, Bobrisky was escorted to the court premises by EFCC operatives at approximately 11:50 am. This appearance marked his transfer from EFCC custody, where he had been detained since Wednesday evening after failing to fulfill the administrative bail conditions presented to him on Thursday.
