Nigerian Army: Releases Names of the 16 Slain Soldiers in Delta State
Nigerian Army: The Nigerian Army has released the names and pictures of the 16 soldiers who tragically lost their lives in Okuama community of Ughelli South Local Government Area in Delta State. The soldiers, belonging to the 181 Amphibious Battalion, lost their lives during an unfortunate incident involving angry youths.
The Army, taking to its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, shared an image that featured the fallen soldiers along with their ranks. The Army captioned the poignant post, “Rest in peace our fallen heroes,” offering a heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
The identified soldiers who lost their lives in the line of duty include Maj. SD Shafa, Maj. DE Obi, Capt. U Zakari, SSgt Yahaya Saidu, Cpl Yahaya Danbaba, Cpl Kabiru Basir, LCpl Bulus Haruna, LCpl Sole Opeyemi, LCpl Bello Anas, LCpl Hamman Peter, LCpl Ibrahim Abdulahi, Pte Alhaji Isah, Pte Clement Francis, Pte Abubakar Ali, Pte Ibrahim Adamu, and Pte Adamu Ibrahim.
The tragic incident has plunged the nation into mourning, as the bravery and sacrifice of these soldiers receive acknowledgment and honor. The Nigerian Army continues to work diligently to maintain peace and security in the region, ensuring the safety of its citizens and the defense of the nation.
