In a move aimed at alleviating economic strain, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has unveiled reduction in the prices of diesel and aviation fuel. Effective immediately, consumers can expect to purchase diesel at a remarkable ₦940 per litre, while aviation fuel will be available for ₦980 per litre.
This transformative price adjustment reflects Dangote’s proactive approach to addressing the prevailing economic challenges in Nigeria. Anthony Chiejina, the Head of Communication at Dangote Petroleum Refinery, emphasized that this initiative underscores the company’s unwavering commitment to supporting consumers amidst economic adversities.
Under the new pricing structure, customers purchasing five million litres or more will benefit from the reduced rate of ₦940 per litre for diesel. Meanwhile, those purchasing one million litres or more will enjoy a competitive rate of ₦970 per litre.
In a strategic partnership with MRS Oil and Gas stations, Dangote Petroleum Refinery aims to ensure widespread accessibility of affordable fuel across Nigeria. This collaboration extends the opportunity for consumers to procure diesel for as low as ₦1,050 per litre and aviation fuel at ₦980 per litre at all major airports serviced by MRS.
Furthermore, plans are underway to expand this partnership to include other prominent oil marketers. By fostering collaborations within the industry, Dangote Group endeavors to curb the prevalence of exorbitant fuel prices, thereby enhancing the purchasing power of Nigerian consumers.
