The victim of the tragic murder in the Bayswater area of Westminster has been identified by the Metropolitan Police as Kamonnan Thiamphanit, affectionately known as Angela by her friends. Despite exhaustive efforts by law enforcement, there have been no arrests made in connection with the case.
Ms. Thiamphanit’s lifeless body, bearing stab wounds, was discovered by officers on Monday, following their forcible entry into her residence on Stanhope Place, W2. Concerns about her well-being were raised by a friend who reached out to authorities the day prior.
The Metropolitan Police has initiated an internal review after facing criticism for the delay in their response. Despite receiving calls from Ms. Thiamphanit’s friend on Sunday evening, officers did not arrive at the scene until the following morning, prompting questions about the efficiency of their handling of the situation.
