Olatosho Oshoffa Reveals Celestial Church of Christ’s Stance on Polygamy: Unity Amidst Controversy
The 10th son and 20th child of the late founder of Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Bilewu Oshoffa, Olatosho Oshoffa sheds light on the Celestial Church of Christ stance on polygamy, despite the traditional Biblical view of one man, one wife. In an exclusive interview with reporters, Olatosho addressed a range of contentious issues surrounding his father’s legacy.
When questioned about the controversy surrounding the number of wives and children his father had, Olatosho calmly responded, “My father departed from this world on September 10th, 1985, leaving behind 13 wives and 53 children.” He took the opportunity to clarify misconceptions, stating that although some claim his father had over 100 children, the accurate figure stands at 53—a number that the siblings are well aware of and maintain strong bonds with one another.
Despite the size of their family, Olatosho emphasized the unity and love that prevails within their household. Regardless of their numbers, the Oshoffa children share a profound sense of togetherness and harmony, standing as a testament to their shared upbringing and familial values.
The interview conducted by reporters offers a glimpse into the personal life of Olatosho Mathew Oshoffa, shedding light on the family dynamics and addressing prevailing controversies surrounding the late founder of the Celestial Church of Christ.
