The Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led federal government has announced the declaration of public holidays for the upcoming Easter celebrations, emphasizing its commitment to fostering inclusivity and support for all Nigerians regardless of party affiliations or ethnic backgrounds. According to a statement issued by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Friday, March 29, and Monday, April 1, have been designated as public holidays to commemorate Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively.

The announcement, conveyed on Wednesday and endorsed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Aishetu Ndayako, underscores the government’s recognition of the religious significance of Easter and its message of sacrifice and love epitomized by Jesus Christ.
